Registered massage therapist TorontoWho is Toronto Island Wellness
Hi, I’m Oliver Bee.
Registered Massage TherapistAbout me
I’m a Registered Massage Therapist, five years in practice, and I opened Toronto Island Wellness in 2023 because I felt my community needed a dedicated space for physical and remedial wellness. I see clients in my studio on Ward’s Island and at home across downtown Toronto, and I also practise in Kitchener-Waterloo (oliver-rmt.com).
Sports and rehabMy background
My background is in sports therapy and surgical rehab, injury recovery and strength building, sports massage, and powerlifting and movement coaching. I also pay close attention to the sensory side of a session: the room, the sound, the pace.

Holistic massage therapyA holistic approach
I take a holistic approach, recognizing that you know your body better than anyone else. I see clients for all sorts of reasons, but in every case I’m here to give you the skills and understanding to take charge of your own healing and well-being.
I take your whole life into account: your injury history, your day-to-day and what you need from your care. From there we put together a plan, and it moves in the direction you want to go.
What a session can combine
- Relaxation massage and aromatherapy
- Deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy
- PRT (Positional Release Technique)
- Sound therapy
Over my years in practice I’ve worked alongside physiotherapists, chiropractors, osteopaths, Chinese medicine practitioners and other RMTs, and learning from them has informed the way I practise. When something is outside my own experience, I’ll help you find someone who can meet your needs.
No two clients are the same, so the approach is holistic for each of you: you have your own needs, and I’ll do what I can to meet them.
In practiceStructure
Before treating, I look at posture and how your joints are actually moving, not just where you’re tight. Hands-on work, such as soft tissue and manual therapy, is then paired with mobility and remedial exercise, drawing on my background in sports therapy, surgical rehab and strength building.
In practiceStillness
Stillness starts with the massage itself. Long, gliding strokes at a slower pace give your nervous system the chance to settle, and the pressure adjusts as we move through each area, never pushed harder than the tissue wants that day. The setting helps, in the studio or at home, and between visits I can show you simple breathing techniques to bring the pace down.
In practiceSkills
I explain what I find in plain language and why I’m suggesting what I suggest. You leave with simple exercises and self-care techniques to keep the work going between visits, and when something is outside my experience, I’ll help you find someone who can meet your needs.
A loop: structure leads to stillness, stillness to skills, and skills back to structure.

Massage therapy on Toronto IslandA boat ride away
Toronto Island Wellness is a retreat from the hectic buzz of city life. Hop on the ferry and make your way over for a centering massage. While you’re here, enjoy some food at the Riviera, play a round of disc golf, or take a slow walk through the Island’s parks.
Peace and tranquility are only a boat ride away.
Home visit massage therapy TorontoThe same care, in your own space
Not everyone can get out to the Island, and some weeks nobody wants to. Home visits bring the full treatment to you across downtown Toronto on Saturdays and Sundays. It’s the same unhurried work I do in the studio, just without the ferry.
I bring the table, the linens, the oils and the music.
