Registered massage therapy TorontoMassage Therapy
Under Ontario's Massage Therapy Act, the profession is defined as the assessment of the soft tissue and joints of the body, and the treatment and prevention of physical dysfunction and pain by manipulation — to develop, maintain, rehabilitate or augment physical function, or relieve pain. In practice, that covers a wide range: deep tissue work, Swedish (relaxation) massage, postural and joint-focused treatment, sports massage, prenatal massage, and remedial exercise, among others — all regulated by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO).
Not a diagnosis — for more information, contact me or another trusted healthcare provider.
Sessions here are booked by length, not by technique — you pick the time, and we decide together how to spend it, blending whichever of the above actually fits what you need that day. That might mean firm, targeted pressure on a stubborn area one visit and a slower, full-body reset the next.
Five years in practice, with a background in sports therapy and surgical rehabilitation, shapes how I look at a session: through tensegrity — a balanced network of tension and compression across muscle, fascia and bone, where how the whole system has adapted often matters more than the one spot that hurts.
