Rotator cuff massage therapy TorontoRotator Cuff
Very common, and often linked to rotator cuff instability.
Not a diagnosis — for more information, contact me or another trusted healthcare provider.
Pain at the glenohumeral joint, where your arm meets your shoulder.
Rotator cuff mobility comes first, then stability. Once the tissues move, we promptly start strengthening to reduce future injury. I've had traumatic shoulder dislocations myself through accidents, and found great relief in rotator cuff strengthening rehab — I cannot oversell its importance. Once we get your shoulders moving, we will get them strong and ready to take on the world. Depending on severity, I may refer to physiotherapists, encourage GP follow-up for other options, and encourage working with a personal trainer on moderate weightlifting for strength across the shoulder girdle and upper back.
What I Focus On
- Mobility First
- Progressive Strengthening
- Referral When Needed
Typical course: 2–16 weeks depending on severity.
See your doctor first
Suddenly being unable to lift your arm after a fall or a “pop” can mean a full tear and should be seen by a doctor soon.
