Home visit massage TorontoHome visit massage in the Distillery District, Corktown & Canary District

Whether home is a condo by the Distillery District's brick lanes, a Corktown row house or a newer building in the Canary District, a lot of life around here happens on foot. And if you've only just moved in, the boxes may still be stacked in the hall.

A home visit suits that kind of life. There's no car to dig out and no route to plan; the whole session comes to you, and when it's over you're already home, with nothing ahead of you but a slow evening. It's a good way to look after yourself in the middle of settling in, or to mark the day the last box is finally flattened and the place feels like yours.

What sessions often focus on

A sore back, shoulders and wrists after a move

Boxes, flat-pack furniture and armloads of everything, hauled up from the lobby and then put together on the floor, can leave you sore in the low back, the shoulders and the wrists for days. That's where a session after a move usually starts, and it makes a well-earned hour once the heavy lifting is done.

Stiff hips and knees on the stairs and on long walks

If your hips and knees complain on the way up a flight of stairs or toward the end of a long walk, treatment can work around those joints and include gentle movement work you can keep up between visits.

Tight shoulders and a stiff neck from swimming laps

Regular pool sessions keep the shoulders turning over thousands of times a week, with the neck rotating to breathe. For a regular swimmer, a session centres on the shoulders, the neck and the upper back.

Getting set up

Each of the three areas asks for something a little different. The Distillery's lanes are kept for people on foot, so I'll carry the table in from the edge. In the Canary District, tell me how your building lets visitors in, and in a Corktown row house with a narrow hall, the table manages easily. Set-up is quick, and everything travels with me: the memory-foam table, cotton sheets, massage oil, music and aromatherapy.

Home visit days

Saturday and Sunday*

*Other days can sometimes be arranged. Ask, and I'll fit you in around my clinic schedule where I can.

When you book, please send me parking instructions: where I can park or unload the table. I'll follow them on the day.

I offer direct billing with most insurance providers, or I can give you an RMT receipt to submit yourself.
