Home visit massage TorontoHome visit massage in Roncesvalles & High Park
Roncesvalles and High Park are made for staying active: trail runs, long dog walks through the ravines, and ball games and soccer on the weekend. When your body is what's slowing you down, though, even getting to an appointment can be the hardest part.
After a sprained ankle, a new knee or a long weekend on the trails, a home visit means the session comes up your front steps instead of you going down them. Whether you have a whole house or a flat upstairs, I'll find the way in, set up where there's room, and give you the time and attention a recovering body needs. And when the session's done, the couch is right there.
What sessions often focus on
- Rolled ankles and tired, aching hips. Running High Park's slopes, or walking the dog up and down its ravines, loads the calves and ankles on the climbs and the knees and hips on the way down. An active routine like that is worth looking after, and sessions often take in the lower legs, knees and hips together.
- Getting back to activity after an injury or surgery. Rehab visits combine exercise prescription, hands-on manual therapy and hydrotherapy techniques, and I'm glad to coordinate with your physiotherapist, chiropractor or other practitioners. Because the session happens at home, there's no trip across the city on a sore knee or a recovering shoulder. The focus is on the area you're rebuilding and the work you're doing between appointments.
- A tight jaw and a headache by the end of the workday. Clenching through calls, tight temples and a neck that never quite lets go tend to travel together, especially when the office is a desk in the spare room. Treatment can concentrate on the jaw, the temples, the neck and the tops of the shoulders.

Getting set up
Whether it's a side entrance, a shared hall or a flight of stairs at the back, tell me the way to your door and I'll plan for it. I set up wherever there's room, and it only takes a few minutes: a table with 12 inches of memory foam and fresh cotton sheets, and music if you'd like it. If you're coming back from an injury, the session draws on a lot of hands-on clinical rehab work, and I'll fit it around whatever your recovery looks like. Afterwards everything goes back into my bags, and the room is yours again.
